Toraja in combination with Bada Valley & Lore Lindu National Park | 12 Days / 11 Nights
Day 01
After arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, set out for Toraja. Lunch at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. A coffee break on the Puncak Lakawan to enjoy spectacular views. Arrive late afternoon in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 02
After breakfast, full day excursion around Toraja. Visit Londa, where we can explore the burial caves, Lemo with rows of Tau-Tau statues, and traditional Torajan village Kete-Kesu, famous for its woodcarving. Lunch in Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 03
After breakfast, depart for Pendolo, a scenic drive to Palopo, a small Moslem port and the capital of the Luwu regency. A picnic lunch en route at the irrigation project in Batu Citundac. If we are lucky we will see the processing of sago in Masamba district. Arrival late in the afternoon in Pendolo, a small village on the south shore of Lake Poso. Dinner and overnnight in hotel.
Day 04
After breakfast cross by ferry to Tentena, a trip of about 3 hours. Poso is a deep freshwater lake with white sandy beaches rising to high, densely forested mountains with white sandy beaches. This is one of the most beautiful and clearest lakes in the world. Lunch in Tentena. After lunch visit a waterfall with twelve steps known as Wera Salopa in Tonusu and take a walk through a Balinese transmigration village. Dinner and overnight in cottages.
Day 05
After breakfast, Pamona caves. Afterwards visiting the Sulewana Waterfall, lasting for an entire kilometre, this is one of the most exiting waterfalls in Asia.. Lunch en route. In the afternoon will be at leisure. Take a walk or just relax beside the lake. Dinner and overnight in cottage.
Day 06
After breakfast, set out for a heavy trip to Bada Valley by 4 wheel drive, which is located in Central Sulawesi and well known for its mysterious megaliths. Bada Valley is only about 70 km, but it takes about 8 hours. Picnic lunch is served en route, dinner and overnight at the home stay “Gate” of Valley in the small “Kampong” Gintu.
Day 07
After breakfast, we take a walk through the remote and rugged land of the megaliths in Tuare. Today we will cross Lariang river that runs the length of the valley, spanned by three suspension bridges. Visit the megaliths Palindo, along with several statues and many large stone vats at Sepe, Maturu and Oba. Picnic lunch en route. Dinner and overnight in a local house at Kampong Tuare.
Day 08
After breakfast, we make 07 (seven) hours’ jungle trip to Lore Lindu National Park, covering more than 231 hectares. This park straddles the border between Donggala and Poso district. On the way, we can swim in the river. Lunch en route, dinner and overnight at a local house in Kampong Moa.
Day 09
After breakfast, a full day walk from Moa to Kababuru. It takes about 07 (seven) hours through the jungle and tropic rain forest. On the way, you can see and hear the noisy flocks of various species of colorful birds. Picnic lunch en route. Dinner and overnight in the guest house at Kababuru.
Day 10
After breakfast, take a 05 (five) hours walk to Gimpu, lunch in Gimpu. Drive by car from Gimpu to Tanjung Karang out side Palu. Dinner and overnight at Cottage.
Day 11
After breakfast, visit Donggala by Bendi horse cart through the picturesque village and harbour. After lunch you will have free own leisure on the white sandy beaches. Dinner and overnight in Cottage.
Day 12
After breakfast, transfer to Palu Airport to catch your flight for your next destination.
