Package Makassar-Toraja Include 2 days white water rafting | 6 days / 5 nights
Day 01
Upon arrival at Hasanuddin airport in Makassar, transfer to Hotel. After check in we’ll take you on a City Tour of Makassar, visiting Fort Rotterdam, the old Dutch Fortress, and Paotere anchorage, the Buginese Boat Harbor, dinner and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 02
After breakfast, set out on the picturesque drive to Toraja. Lunch at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare, Afternoon stop at the Puncak Lakawan, to enjoy the spectacular view, precedes a scenic drive with many photo-stops en route. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel
Day 03
After breakfast, a full day exploring Toraja, first visit Lemo to see rows of tau-tau statues and hanging graves. On to Londa, to see an ancient grave where the deceased are entombed. At Kete-Kesu we can see Tongkonan, old rice barns, and traditional woodcarving. Lunch will be served in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel
Day 04
After breakfast, pick up at 08h30 and spend the morning driving to the trailhead. Magnificent views of Sa’dan canyon unfold as the trail winds its way along the river valley. During the afternoon trek there’s time for lunch drinks and snacks. The overnight pondok camp is in a remote Torajan village and is in traditional style. Dinner will be prepared over an open campfire by the guides. Lunch and dinners are included.
Day 05
Another river day through the majestic ridges and mountains in the southern gorge. The swift rapids, lively wave trains, and frequent splashes of cool water are the best way to travel through the grandeur of Sulawesi’s incredible geography. By afternoon the take-out point is reached. After some cool refreshments, transportation is provided for the return trip to Rantepao (reunited with your luggage), breakfast and lunch are included, transfer to the Hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 06
After breakfast, drive back to Makassar. Lunch will be served at a sea food restaurant in Pare-Pare. Afterwards, transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch your flight for your next destination.
